Welcome to TAPP

Tasmania's home of competitive pinball. We run fortnightly tournaments across Hobart, giving players of every level a real shot at the leaderboard — and every event counts. Our competitions are IFPA-endorsed, so every game you play earns you World Pinball Player Rankings (WPPR) points that go towards your global standing.

As part of the Australian Championship Series, TAPP hosts the Tasmanian State Finals — the pinnacle of competitive pinball in the state. Whether you're chasing a state title, climbing the national rankings, or just stepping up to a machine for the first time, you'll find your place here.

Group Match Play Single Elimination

We’re giving our “classic” format another go! The plan is to run matchplay qualifying followed by a single elimination finals bracket—but as always, we’ll stay flexible depending on numbers, timing, and how the night unfolds.

In matchplay, you’ll play across multiple rounds in groups, earning points based on your finishing position each game to determine rankings; then in single elimination finals, the top players enter a knockout bracket where it’s win and advance, lose and you’re out.

Smaller turnout than usual tonight for those who braved the weather 🌧️, but still a great night of pinball with plenty of tight matches and some huge scores. After 7/5/3/1 matchplay qualifying and 3-strike finals, Tom Fonda (A Division) and Lily McShane (B Division) took out the wins 🥇 with strong fields across both divisions.

TAPP at ACS 2025/26

The IFPA Australian Championship Series (ACS) Nationals 2025/26 saw Tasmania represented on the national stage, as our top players travelled to Wollongong, NSW to take on the country’s best.

The ACS is the pinnacle of competitive pinball in Australia, bringing together the top players from each state to compete for the title of IFPA Australian Pinball Champion and a pathway to international competition. Alongside this, the IFPA Australian Women’s Championship Series showcases the country’s top women competitors – with Tasmania proudly represented by Lily McShane.

Our latest event at The Winston was another fantastic night of pinball, great competition, and a packed venue. Huge thanks to the Winston team, Tye for keeping the machines running perfectly, and AMD for their continued support.
